Eval.: Bilateral paresthesias with weakness requires emg/ncv of the upper extremities. I would also obtain MRI of cervical spine to rule out hnp or cord compression. Cxr is useful . Carpal tunnel syndrome can be bilateral; physical exam and EMG can help diagnose. Not sure...: I am sorry to say this is just not enough information to determine if it is or not shingles. Just tingling could be a number of things, including early shingles, but it does not mean it is shingles. It could be so many different things that we would need more for the diagnosis.
