In general, burning sensations or pains suggest nerve involvement. Nerve pain (neuropathy) causes burning and tingling, and be caused by nerve injury, irritation or infection. Yes: It would be a good idea to see a gyn to make sure this is not a sign of a sexually transmitted disease. Warm water sprayed on area after urinating will help as well as avoidance of toilet paper.
