See your doctor: The symptoms you're describing could be due to an infection either in your bladder or your urethra (tube that exits your bladder). My concern would also be for an std. I would strongly urge you to see your doctor and get checked. ...Read more

Need More History: It is hard to say without additional history. There are a number of things that could be causing your symptoms. Besides a UTI what can cause burning at about the moment my bladder is empty?

Besides a UTI what can cause burning at about the moment my bladder is empty?

Depends: Where does the burning occur? If it is at the very outside, around your labia, it could be due to yeast, an infection, or irritation from a soap, perfume, detergent, fabric softener, etc. It may still be a uti though so you need to get checked for that and treated. There are other causes, but you can't provide enough history in the space given to help sort it out. See a doc. If fever, worse; ER ...Read more

GO TO THE DOCTOR: There are many causes of back pain. But what I am concerned about is that you have loss of bladder function. This is very concerning in the setting of back pain for compression of the very bottom part of the spine called the cauda equina. It is potentially a serious condition and is the first thing that I would want to rule out. ...Read more

See Your Doctor Now: The classical symptoms of bladder infection are pain/burning, frequent urination, incontinence, & abdominal pain.
