MS WORK UP: In the MS work up, of a younger female patient presenting with vertigo /gait instability/numbness. And on exam there is hyperreflexia. You would want to do a full blood work up evaluate for Lyme disease/CNS SARCOIDOSIS /SJOGRENS SYNDROME. MRI of brain and cervical spine to look for plaques. If necessary a lumbar puncture to check MBP and oligoclonal bands . Neuro consult with MS specialist. ...Read more

Anxiety?: I have no idea either. I't possible it could be a hyperventilation symptom or just anxiety. I would be interested to see if anyone out there has any ideas. Sounds worrisome: though autoimmune disorders as well as any skin rash could cause such symptoms. Of course I'm guessing you have ruled out sun burn as a cause?
