Burning Sensation Under Sternum
Sudden onset burning sensation right under sternum. I was cleaning dishes when it started, I ate about 2 hours ago, pain goes away upon sitting still?
Couple of things: This could be from pulling a muscle in between your ribs or it may be reflux disease due to what you ate for lunch. Try Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen and see if it goes away. If it is reflux it will happen again and then you can seek advice on treatment. If you experience shortness of breath you may need to be seen at the ER.

Burning sensation in my right breast, just at the boarder near the sternum. Facing me, it would be at the 1 to 3 on the clock. What causes this?
?: Dear, it is impossible to tell based on your description. Many musculoskeletal, skin, or neuropathic conditions can cause these funky, hard to describe pains in different areas. Breast cancer (which is what most would be worried about) seems unlikely but even then, it is impossible to say much without an exam. Visit your doc to get examined and of course, faithfully do your screenings. Best 2U.

I have just noticed a burning sensation in my chest, I'm 19 years old, non smoker. I have just eaten some chocolate and drank a coffee. Please help?

See details: If you are talking about heartburn, it is much more likely due to medications than to the underlying disease.
Chest pain after mea: If it is mostly related to meals, and not when not after a meal, then mostly a case of reflux from the stomach back up into the esophagus. The esophagus is not made by nature to tolerate acid as food is not supposed to back up into it. Acid in the esophagus burns the esophagus. You can feel burning, or even a chest pain such as in a heart attack. Some has acid back up into the throat.
Unknown for sure: Many of my patients who have angioplasty have mild discomfort after angioplasty for a month. Usually it doesn't last much longer than that though. I think it is from the stent stretching out the artery. Here is a link: https://rehabilitateyourheart. Wordpress. Com/2012/10/04/chest-pain-after-having-stent/ Check out my website CardioGauge. My mom aged 60 is having burning sensation in chest for last two days. Help me understand possible reasons?
Depends: If her burning occurs primarily during exertion, her heart may be the culprit. If it occurs at rest, especially at night, improved with eating food, improved by belching, possibly associated with nausea, it's more likely to be acid reflux disease, gastritis, or an ulcer in her stomach or duodenum.
I have this burning sensation in the middle of my chest and hurts every time I eat and swallow what could it be?
Esophagitis: Burning in the center of your chest is "heartburn" = acid from the stomach coming up into the esophagus, which has no natural protection from stomach acid. Prolonged acid exposure can cause inflammation, ulcers, damage, scarring, narrowing, or even cancer (but unlikely at age 28). Do not ignore these symptoms, and see md soon! Good luck!
