Recurring posterior dislocation of shoulder. After last dislocation sharp pain in elbow, intermittent coldness and numbness of forearm, prickly skin?
? TOS: 37 yo w. recurrent shoulder dislocation suggest Hypermobility Syndrome. Could be from neck: I see many patients with rotator cuff tears that also have numbness, tingling, and even weakness below the shoulder into the arm, forearm, and wrist/hand. The neurological symptoms below the shoulder notoriously arise from an ongoing neck problem such as a pinched nerve within the cervical spine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Burning sensation near intersection of right acromiom and scapula radiating to deltoid, with lower thoracic spine or scapular pain. Possible causes?
Sounds like a pinch-: Ed nerve in the neck/tspine , causing all your symptoms. Acromion is a part of the scapula, so I am unsure which specific area are you referring to (by calling it the intersection of ac. With scap.)? See an orthopod to be evaluated/investigated, so treatment could be started. Good luck ; happy holidays. ...Read more
Can a torn rotator cuff muscle result in aching in the shoulder and arm without any real restrictions in movement?
Not likely: A torn rotator cuff can definitely cause pain in the shoulder and arm, but the vast majority of the time the pain will be worse with motions like lifting your head over your arm or reaching behind your back. If you have absolutely no increased pain when you move your arm, it does bring the diagnosis into question. A pinched nerve in the neck can cause shoulder that is not worse with motion. ...Read more

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ?
Severe pain from shoulder down deltoid into bicep. Not rotator cuff. More pain when arm is rotated toward chest. Torn cartilage in other shoulder. ??
Get examined!: At age 55 your most common cause for this pain would still be 'impingement' ( or bursitis). Labral tears causing this pain are less likely unless associated with the biceps 'anchor'( SLAP) lesions -- but less likely in isolation in your age group.Osteoarthritis can cause pain in this distribution . AC joint arthritis can also cause pain when rotating arm towards chest ( adduction). See an ORS! GL! ...Read more
Possible/unlikely: If there is a significant amount of swelling around the nerves that pass through to the arm and hand, a rotator cuff tear could cause those symptoms. It is far more likely that a nerve is being pinched- either in the neck or tight muscles around the neck/shoulder. A physiatrist can diagnose and treat these conditions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I injured my shoulder rotator cuff 3
or more years ago and now I'm getting some mild stiffness and severe burning pain. What do you think?
Im getting physical therapy for my rotator cuff surgery but now I have a burning pain in front of my shoulder. Did they over stretch?
Likely just muscle.: Physical therapy for rotator cuff is a mainstay of therapy for this. With stretching and exercise the other muscles and tendons of the shoulder joint will become strengthened and stretched. These muscles are likely not used to this at this point and so will become sore and burn as Lactic Acid builds up in them. The best thing to do is to keep up with the pt. ...Read more
What can be the cause of numbness and burning sensation of one part of the body which lasted for seconds with no other associated symptoms?
Maybe nerve pressed: A person who gets numbness, tingling, or odd sensations in various parts of his body, is likely stimulating or pressing on the nerve to that part of the body. Pressing on the blood vessels to that part of the body is also possibly a cause, but less likely. The person can see his primary care doctor and show him exactly what happens. The doctor may refer to a neurologist for further evaluation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
