Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ? No back pain.

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ? No back pain.

Depends: I would like to know where the pain starts. If it originates at the buttock it is possible that the problem could be coming from the back despite not having back pain. My advice would be to get an EMG to rule out a radiculopathy, consider imaging of L-spine and Right Hip, and based on these results decide further tx. Buttock pain could be coming from back, hip or SI joint. Further w/u needed. ...Read more

Burning sensation and slight pain in chest even after one month of angioplasty.why?

Unknown for sure: Many of my patients who have angioplasty have mild discomfort after angioplasty for a month. Usually it doesn't last much longer than that though. I think it is from the stent stretching out the artery. Here is a link: https://rehabilitateyourheart.wordpress.com/2012/10/04/chest-pain-after-having-stent/ Check out my website CardioGauge.com for heart health education. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Numbness in upper leg. Jerky movments of the leg. Itching in some areas, but no rash. Sensation of cold and heat, spasms. Stabbing pains?

Sympathetic nerves: While these symptoms are very disconcerting and frustrating, unlikely they suggest a serious abnormality. The autonomic nervous system is made up of a sympathetic and parasympathetic coordination which regulates our organ systems without our conscious control. These systems can become out of balance and create symptoms like yours. Breathing techniques and meditation have both been shown to help. ...Read more

Cold burning sensation in lower left calf. Sensation is sporadic, but happens several times an hour. Occurred after prolonged sitting. Sciatica?

Cold burning sensation in lower left calf. Sensation is sporadic, but happens several times an hour. Occurred after prolonged sitting. Sciatica?

Cold burning: I think most of us can agree your calf sensation is related to nerve irritation. In this case, it was probably not severe. Since it occurred after sitting, it may be from the sciatic nerve, the popliteal nerve, or a lumbar nerve root. It is hard to know. Regardless, it should not last long, and may recover. Many people get this after sitting on something with an edge, like stadium seats. ...Read more

Pain tingling in calf and pain in arch of foot. Numbness in Achilles. Slight swelling at base of calf muscle in right leg. Any ideas what's wrong?

Calf pain: can be several things: 1. tingling and numbness usually represent nerve pain - the sural nerve runs behind the calf muscle and could be pinched 2. the pain in the arch could be tednonitis - the posterior tibial tendon - when injured it can cause deep calf soreness and arch pain especially behind the ankle area. 3. tarsal tunnel syndrome I would suggest you see a Podiatrist or Foot & Ankle doctor ...Read more

I'm experiencing a tickling (not tingling) sensation in both of my upper forearms / biceps since yesterday. Gradual onset. No pain or other symptoms.

Hmmmm.....: I think we will need a bit more information if you have any in order to help. It certainly doesn't sound like an emergency at this point. The fact that it is both forearms is a bit odd.
