Need more info: There may be something that is causing nerve irritation. That could be caused by improper posture, trauma (tight shoe?) jogging or running, lifting something heavy. The complaint is so diffuse that I would suggest that you make an appt with your primary care physician. ...Read more

May be nerve pain: Often a burning sensation indicates a nerve being pinched or trapped the location of the sensation suggests the possibility of a nerve from the lower part of the cervical spine being piched. Shingles: There is a good possibility,,with that history than you have Herpes Zoster or "Shingles" This is due to re-activation of the Chicken Pox virus in a nerve (nerves) where it causes a tiny chicken pox like "bump" in the skin at the end of the nerve.
