My wife has been experiencing pain and discomfort in her outer groin region. Pain described as burning prickly sensation. Also feels on lower thigh.?

Groin pain: In the region you describe, the most common cause would be injury or pressure on a nerve. Among heavy set people there is a specific nerve that can get compressed just above the waist on the side which can cause pain in the area you describe (a condition called meralgia paresthetica). The same thing can happen to other nerves after surgery from scarring--the ilioinguinal nerve, genitofemoral nerve. ...Read more

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ? No back pain.

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ? No back pain.

Depends: I would like to know where the pain starts. If it originates at the buttock it is possible that the problem could be coming from the back despite not having back pain. My advice would be to get an EMG to rule out a radiculopathy, consider imaging of L-spine and Right Hip, and based on these results decide further tx.
