Burning Sensation In My Thighs Symptoms
Burning stomach: This is usually due to excess acid build up. Most likely to occur when your stomach is empty (because food buffers acid). In the case of acid reflux, the discomfort may be the worst around 1/2 - 1 hour after a meal or while lying down. Peptic ulcer is another cause, usually with gnawing central abdominal pain when the stomach is empty, particularly at night, and it feels better after eating. ...Read more

Eval.: Bilateral paresthesias with weakness requires emg/ncv of the upper extremities. I would also obtain MRI of cervical spine to rule out hnp or cord compression. Cxr is useful . Carpal tunnel syndrome can be bilateral; physical exam and EMG can help diagnose. Look at myofascial pain, such as pronator syndrome , which is secondary to overuse. Also labwork for connective tissue disease panel. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My wife has been experiencing pain and discomfort in her outer groin region. Pain described as burning prickly sensation. Also feels on lower thigh.?
Groin pain: In the region you describe, the most common cause would be injury or pressure on a nerve. Among heavy set people there is a specific nerve that can get compressed just above the waist on the side which can cause pain in the area you describe (a condition called meralgia paresthetica). The same thing can happen to other nerves after surgery from scarring--the ilioinguinal nerve, genitofemoral nerve. ...Read more
Pinched nerve?: Usually that type of feeling is coming from the nerves being pinched or pushed on somehow. The skin neves run along the top of the thigh, so make sure you are not wearing tight pants. Also, leaning against a counter for several hours can cause that. They can also be getting pinched due to arthritis or other problems in the spine. That is more likely at your age. I'd see your doc to get checked. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Meralgia Paresthetic: I actually didn't have room in the SUMMARY above to add the last letter of "a" to the name of what I wanted to write. So, Meralgia Paresthetica is a condition where the femoral nerve is trapped at the level of where it enters the thigh. Numbness and burning sensations can arise. Often it is on both sides but can be only on one. See your doctor and if appropriate a neurologist. ...Read more

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip ? No back pain.
Depends: I would like to know where the pain starts. If it originates at the buttock it is possible that the problem could be coming from the back despite not having back pain. My advice would be to get an EMG to rule out a radiculopathy, consider imaging of L-spine and Right Hip, and based on these results decide further tx. Buttock pain could be coming from back, hip or SI joint. Further w/u needed. ...Read more

Clarify please: There are so many variables that could be related to this: what meds are you on, what is your daily activity, what other medical problems do you have, how long has it gone on, what precipitates the pain, how severe is it, does it radiate, etc. Tingling and burning can be a nerve problem, like from diabetes. But if just in the calves, perhaps it is due to a muscle strain or bad shoes. ...Read more
