Burning: Burning sensation in such localized area may suggest a problem at the thoracic spinal cord level. The best way to establish a diagnosis is to have a physician obtain a complete history and htsicsk examination. Nerve compression?: It seems the pain is related to posture. It's possible that you have compression of the root of a thoracic nerve as it leaves the spinal cord. These nerves travels beneath each of your ribs. Straightening the spine relieves the compression. Sit in a straight backed chair and keep the spine erect when sitting. Gallbladder ? Muscle: If the pain is related always to diet maybe gallbladder. If it is related to movement maybe muscular. See your doc. In the meanwhile, use heat to the area and massage the local rib and muscles. Very painful could be either. ...Read more

Rib: Since this seems to occur with movement, my suspicion is more likely musculoskeletal in nature. It should resolve more quickly with rest and temporary pain relief. As you know, if things worsen or fail to improve with simple measures, it's time to get it checked. ...Read more

Could be: Hard to say for sure, because there is no formal testing for IBS. It certainly is not your gallbladder. It doesn't sound dangerous, and you should ask your doctors if it is appropriate for you to take medication for IBS. At least a trial to see if it helps. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Likely: The result of pressure on the nerve that runs under the rib and is common as the pregnant progresses, and the position of the babies.
