Depends: I would like to know where the pain starts. If it originates at the buttock it is possible that the problem could be coming from the back despite not having back pain. My advice would be to get an EMG to rule out a radiculopathy, consider imaging of L-spine and Right Hip, and based on these results decide further tx. Need more info: Sorry, but it is hard to say beyond some general comments. The location, aspects of when it started, associated symptoms and so on are needed. In general, burning sensations or pains suggest nerve involvement. Nerve pain (neuropathy) causes burning and tingling, and be caused by nerve injury, irritation or infection. Could be hernia.: A hernia could exist without a discernible bulge. The other symptoms are consistent with a hernia. Could also be kidney stone, an issue with the sigmoid colon, pelvic lymph node enlargement...in short, you need some testing.
