Burning Sensation In Left Ovary
I have 12cm simple left ovarian cyst. I have brownish discharge coming out before my period, sharp pain, burning sensation in left ovary, did it rapture?
Possibly: Sometimes ovarian cysts rupture and women know it, sometimes it's painless. I don't think the discharge is affected by or is affecting the cyst. At 12 cm I would also keep torsion or twisting of the cyst in back of my mind. Watch out for roller coasters or going upside down. Hope that helps! ...Read more

4 days before period. Constant dull achey pain in left ovary. Left breast has burning sensation. 2 neg pregnancy tests so far.

I had a TAH in sept ovaries still in after 5 weeks the period pain returned with a burning sensation on the left side. Is this normal?
Maybe: Your body is still healing 5 weeks after an Abdominal Hysterectomy. Its not uncommon to have this type of pain as your body heals. It takes up to 6 months to heal completely. Even though the odds are that it's normal, it's still best to discuss it with your surgeon and be seen and examined as there are some late complications from a hysterectomy that can present as pain. Best wishes! ...Read more
Burning sensation which started in left abdomen maybe ovaries after a very heavy period it has moved around my body to right side abdomen both breasts and front of calves what could be causing this I also have a lot of relatively large fibroids?
Could be fibroids: Fibroids are the most common cause of heavy periods. The pain you describe could also be due to fibroids. When large they can press on pelvic nerves to cause pain in the pelvis, hips, buttocks, thighs, and down the legs. Talk to your doctor. While many places would obtain a pelvic ultrasound, pelvic MRI would actually be better. It delineates the fibroids to see if they correlate with your pain. ...Read more
I have pains in my pelvis close to my genital area on the left side. The pains are either, a burning sensation, numbness, or just a sharp, deep pain.
Get to a Urologist: Those problems could represent impingement of a nerve or richly-innervated structure in the groin. A urologist would be a good start to rule out bad things. While you're waiting for the appointment, you could read online how to do a male self-examination to exclude any anatomical abnormalities. Good luck, and feel better soon! ...Read more
Pulling, tearing and burning sensation on lower right side after total hysterectomy. Ovaries taken also. What could this be
Post Surgical Pain: How many days post op are you? It is common to experience pain, sometimes for months, because tissues and nerves have been cut and are being stretched with your body movements while they are healing. But if the pain is constant and severe, it might be a red flag. I would discuss your symptoms with your surgeon to be in the safe side. ...Read more
I was diagnosed with PID. I've been on meds for 3 weeks and I get off&on burning sensation in the ovaries and down there in general. What's going on?
Atypical treatment: Normally PID needs only 7-10 days treatment. If your doctor prescribed 3 weeks, you may have an atypical case for some reason. "On and off burning sesnation" in the lower abdomen could mean the infection isn't clearing up as it should. If "down there" means vaginal area burning, itching, irritation, etc, you may have a yeast infection from the antibiotics. Contact the doctor treating you. ...Read more

I have a burning sensation on my right ovary that comes and goes. When it starts its painful and comes about every 10-20 mins. I have my tubes tied 6y?
See your gyn:
Sometimes if you have a cyst on your ovary, you can experience intermittent torsion (twisting) that can cut off blood supply to the ovaries and cause pain.
It can eventually become severe and warrant emergent surgery.
A gyn exam plus ultrasound can help provide assurance that your pain is not secondary to an enlarged ovary. ...Read more
I get random sharp pains in my ovaries&a burning sensation. Could this be associated with PID. I jus got off doxycycline and are having these symptoms?
Pain: Your real question is about abdominopelvic pain and burning. You were recently treated with Doxycycline, presumably for NGU, an STD. You need a pregnancy test to rule out ectopic pregnancy. PID is diagnosed by your OB when you have +STD serologies and cervical motion tenderness +risk factors/history. Other conditions can affect the ovaries such as ovarian cysts, torsion, or abscesses. Next step OB ...Read more

During bowel movement, severe pain in pelvis/back on both sides in area of SI joints. Intense, deep burning sensation - still here 6hrs ltr.?
Unusual: But the innervation patterns in this area are complex. If this is the first time it has happened, I would use a heating pad or sit in warm water and see if it doesn't go away, while starting a bulky fiber diet and taking a stool softener so you won't have to strain at all. If it keeps up, you may need to have an exam to be sure you didn't "split" the inner skin a little. You can take Tylenol. ...Read more
