Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip? No back pain.

Burning sensation and pain in lower right leg, numbing sensation in foot, pinching sensation in hip? No back pain.

Depends: I would like to know where the pain starts. If it originates at the buttock it is possible that the problem could be coming from the back despite not having back pain. My advice would be to get an EMG to rule out a radiculopathy, consider imaging of L-spine and Right Hip, and based on these results decide further tx. Buttock pain could be coming from back, hip or SI joint. Further w/u needed. ...Read more

I have been sick for 9 months. Do I have cidp? Symptoms are: extreme fatigue, numbness/weakness in my legs, arms, hands, feet and lower back pain

Impossible to say: Unlikely that you have cidp or acute immune polyneuritis, but some of your problems might be due to peripheral nerve issues. An EMG test done expertly could assist. Another question might involve a process such as multiple sclerosis, but that too cannot be confirmed in absence of MRI images. Spinal fluid analysis might be useful. Seek out a neurologist and pin down precise answer. ...Read more

I have multiple fibroid and have lower back pain. Now I have burning sensation in middle back. Is this part of fibroid or something else?

Less likely: While fibroids can cause back pain, it usually isn't burning in nature. Most "burning" pain is nerve related, but not always. If this persists or is quite bothersome, I would encourage you seeing your primary care doctor to formally evaluate you. ...Read more

Have top and lower back pain that throbs with a burning sensation that gives me a general feeling of sickness. My dr. Think it is inflamation.?

Neuropathy: You may be having muscle spasms that are squeezing the nerves that come off your spine in the mid back region. The explanation for the abdominal symptoms may be from the fact that this mid and upper back area nerves of the spine are the ones that innervate the stomach. Consider physical therapy and muscle relaxants and osteopathic and or chiropractic manipulation. ...Read more

I get lower back pain that radiates to my left leg. I can feel the pain right above the knee, all the way down in my foot as well.?

Sounds like sciatica: This sounds like a typical case of a sciatica or pain radiating into the leg due to a nerve compression that can be due to a disc herniation usually but there can be other explanations. Generally this is true with pain that goes past the knee and can be confirmed on exam and by imaging with a ct scan or mri. Most get better without surgery. ...Read more

I have a large dent in my lower right leg and it hurts to walk and causing my foot to swell. Also lower back pain but no dent in lower left leg.

I have a large dent in my lower right leg and it hurts to walk and causing my foot to swell. Also lower back pain but no dent in lower left leg.

Please explain DENT: I'm not getting the visual on what you mean by "dent" unless you are swollen up and down your leg with one area being concave "down" for lack of a better description due to the amount of swelling or fluid retention happening. I wouldn't be so sure that the "dent" is causing the foot to swell as much as whatever's causing the leg to swell (resulting in the denting) is also causing the foot to swell. ...Read more

Be seen: You may have a "pinched nerve" in your back.

A doctor can examine you and gauge the severity of your issue and devise a plan for your evaluation and treatment. ...Read more

3esi, doctor wants to do nerve burn, throbbing lower back pain and burning down left butt and pain in foot. Annular tear and buldge in l5/s1what to do?

Nerve burn: I assume you had epidural injections. With regard to the nerve burn you have to have had a regular local anesthetic block first before the burn. Also the results should have been good in order to proceed with the burn. You need to ask more questions. If you go ahead nerve burns are quite straight forward. ...Read more

2 events?: Three years later, and ow there is foot numbness? For a problem like this, it is wise to start the evaluation over, with an interview, exam, and perhaps some testing, such as a nerve conduction test. It is conceivable the local pain was from a local injury, but it should not have caused foot numbness 3 years later. ...Read more
