Muscles move joints, stabilize the body, move air and food through the organs, act as valves for bladder, bowel and other organs. They control movement of the eyes. They help us express ourselves by changing the shape of our ...Read more

What causes a burning sensation in the viens in my fore arms? Also the muscles in my calfs keep locking up.

What causes a burning sensation in the viens in my fore arms? Also the muscles in my calfs keep locking up.

Don't know: I have never heard of burning in forearm veins unless something has been injected into them. Assuming you are not doing that (and maybe especially if you are) then you should see a clinician to find the cause of this and the leg cramps. Probably need blood tests as well. Meanwhile, keep your arms above your heart level and try some heat on them as well as your leg muscles to see if it helps. ...Read more

When i stretch my arms and legs i get a burning sensation in my muscles that last about 3-5 seconds?

May be normal: Hard to say, but with stretching and working out the muscles, sometimes the stretch is intense enough to create a burning sensation to to Lactic Acid buildup. If this happens quite often, with minor stretching, i might consider seeing a dr. Make sure you are well hydrated and take magnesium/potassium supplements, which may help. But first consult a dr. ...Read more

Should i be concerned if I am hearing popping noises by heart? I also have burning sensation on chest, arms, pins and needles, muscle loss,

Should i be concerned if I am hearing popping noises by heart? I also have burning sensation on chest, arms, pins and needles, muscle loss,

Burning sensation: Yes, this is something to be concerned about. I can't speak to the "popping" noises that you are having, but the numbness/tingling/burning most likely is due to nerve compression at a high thoracic spine level. You need to see a physician and have an MRI ordered to evaluate if you have cord compression from a disc herniation or some other secondary cause. ...Read more

See below: Any rashes associated with the pain area? If so, consider "shingles" but the pain often comes before the rash. Watch for this. Any numbness in the area or down the arm, consider a neck issue/brachial nerve plexus issue. See your doctor for confirmation or not. ...Read more

Burning sensation on skin of upper arm/shoulder for 2 weeks, but nothing there, skin looks completely normal. No rashes or other symptoms. What is it?

Burning sensation on skin of upper arm/shoulder for 2 weeks, but nothing there, skin looks completely normal. No rashes or other symptoms. What is it?

Neuropathy: Sounds like a nerve problem, so we'd call it neuropathy. It can be caused by anything damaging a nerve. Shingles or herpes can do this, but if it has been going on for 2 weeks I'd expect there to be spots or bumps or something showing on the skin by now. It can also be caused by your immune system attacking the nerve or by the nerve being pinched in your spine or elsewhere. See your doc for help. ...Read more
