Usually not...: Most patients with bladder tumors are relatively asymptomatic even at seeing total painless gross hematuria which is its common presentation. At its late stage with related symptoms kicking in, such irritative voiding symptoms may occur, but still not common. I am on my 6th day and I am still having a burning sensation before and after urinating. Do i need a different drug?
Possibly: I would recommend seeing your doctor to get a new urinalysis and a culture to determine if you need to switch antibiotics. I would normally switch my patients after 3-5 days to another antibiotic if symptoms had not abated in that time frame. There are also medications that will reduce the symptoms while waiting on the medication to have it effect. ...Read more

Infection?: Feeling like you need to urinate frequently a small amount and pain when you urinate can be signes of a bladder infection. You may may need antibiotics. Its simple to find out. Get a urinalysis. In the mean-time, drinking cranberry juice, lots of water and taking over-the-counter Azo may help.
