Son suffers from anxiety severe sunburn and blistery rashes from sun canker soars fatigue joint pain and now leg itching resulting in rash. lupus?

Well, : Well, you so seem to be describing athlete's foot, a topical fungal infection, although there are other skin disorders that could also cause itching and blistering, like contact dermatitis (an allergic reaction from something like a dye in a new sock, etc.). Usually fungal infections have a characteristic fungal odor, whereas contact dermatitis doesn't. If you're absolutely miserable, go see a dermatologist or podiatrist right away. But if you'd like to try something yourself first, you can try applying an over-the-counter anti-fungal cream like lamisil, lotrimin or tinactin (tolnaftate) 2-3 times a day and see if it improves. If it doesn't get noticeably better in a day or two, you need to see a doctor. Regardless of what it might be, and as hard as this advice might be to follow, it's very important to not scratch! scratching will only inflame the area and in the case of fungal infections, will only cause it to spread (and put fungal spores under your fingernails). If you do see an improvement in a day or two, it most certainly is a fungal infection. Fungal spores live for 30 days, so just because it clears up in a couple of days doesn't mean you should stop using the fungicidal cream. You should keep using the cream for at least 30 days to prevent recurrence. Hope this helps. Don't scratch, and good luck! ...Read more

F/23 burning sensation in upper chest, radiating heat. worse when at rest. skin on chest very sensitive/irritated, no rash. has lasted on/off ~5days?

Anxiety vs....: Something! It is often hard to understand how feeling stress or anxious could cause skin symptoms such as these, but in a young person your age, that is the most likely cause. HOWEVER, the significant disease causes of this are in the connective tissue disease realm: lupus, scleroderma, dematomyositis, cryoglobulinemia, rheumatoid arthritis. Reduce stress, observe, see doc in 2 weeks if persists ...Read more

Rash on hands feet and legs after a sun with planeflight. Ankles double in size. No burn. Also have constant low C3 c4.Sun poison or flare?

Rash on hands feet and legs after a sun with planeflight. Ankles double in size. No burn. Also have constant low C3 c4.Sun poison or flare?

Hard to say: If low complements levels will cause skin problems then the problems would be swelling, not rashes. Ankle swelling points to complement associated issues. If you are reacting to a sunblock that would explain the rash on your extremities and low c3 and c4 levels may explain the swelling. 39 year olds should not get ankle swelling unless they have heart problems. Get checked by your doctor. ...Read more

Sun burn feeling rash between legs by knees localized in same spots on both sides, no itching, red.

Contact dermatitis?: Sounds like you could be having a reaction to something. The detergent you use on your clothes, a soap, or lotion, etc. Stop any new products, and go fragrance free. If you are wearing spandex or clothes with spandex, then a reaction to the spandex could be a problem, too. Over the counter hydrocortisone cream will help if this is the cause. If it does not or gets hot or painful, worse-see MD ...Read more

I've had constant itchiness on scalp, neck, forearms, wrists, calves, genitals, abdominal, inner thighes etc. Worse at night, showers soothe...Help?

Depends on the cause: Many, many things cause generalized itching. Itching is almost always worse at night, and showers usually soothe it, whatever the cause. You need an exam to determine the cause. You can try a long-acting antihistamine such as Allegra (fexofenadine) (now over-the-counter), but that just treats the symptoms, not the cause. See a dermatologist. ...Read more
