I have burning pain in thigh any ideas, what do you recommend?

Back: It could be coming from your lumbar spine. My suggestion is to see a spine specialist and have a proper evaluation. You may also need an MRI. You don't have to have back pain to have a pinched nerve.

Get X-ray if...: Sounds like a contusion to your thigh. (bruise). If you are able to walk and weight bear on that side a fractured femur (thigh bone)extremely unlikely. Contusions to kneecap (prepatellar bursitis) is very common w/ your mechanism of injury and can refer pain proximally. So are thigh contusions. Rice is appropriate. If pain continues, swelling increases, or pain localizes to knee. .. See md...Gl.

I've been having a burning sensation in the upper part of my left leg, it also feels like its being pulled, this happens a lot when I cough or sneeze?

Neuropathy: When you cough or sneeze, it increases pressure in spinal canal, and in presence of nerve compression in lower back, the pain exacerbates, but another explanation includes compression of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of thigh at hip level. Get this examined. Also, stop smoking now, regardless of the cause of your symptoms. Lung cancer, and COPD is far worse!

Swelling and burning sensation in thigh almost from 5 months and all tablets are useless please help me?

Your Doctor's assess: What is your doctor's assessment as to the cause? If you pain is getting worse, then an imaging study to find the cause of swelling and pain is in order. Ask your doctor to do further testing simply using pain pills is not a solution....You must find out what is causing it, then treat the cause.

What does a burning sensation in my thighs mean?

Burning thighs: This usually means that a subcutaneous nerve is being compressed. One common example is a condition called meralgia paresthetic, which usually affects from the anterior lower lateral abdomen down to the thigh and/or groin. Other causes would include chemical burns (from topical medications or otc products) or sunburn.

Help! I have burning sensation inner side of my thigh?

Meralgia Paresthetic: I actually didn't have room in the SUMMARY above to add the last letter of "a" to the name of what I wanted to write. So, Meralgia Paresthetica is a condition where the femoral nerve is trapped at the level of where it enters the thigh. Numbness and burning sensations can arise. Often it is on both sides but can be only on one. See your doctor and if appropriate a neurologist.

I have this burning sensation on the right side of my thigh.

I have this burning sensation on the right side of my thigh.

See below: If the pain is on the outside of the thigh, ou may be experiencing a condition called meralgia peristhetica which is a pinched nerve near the hip. Stretching helps and should be the first thing attempted.

I have a burning sensation on my right outer thigh at night when I go yo bed. Bad enough to wake me.

Nerve: This suggests impingement of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve where it enters the leg near the groin. This is more of a nuisance and usually doesn't cause severe pain. Another possibility is a bulging intervertebral disc in the spine pressing on a nerve root exiting the spine. This is more apt to cause more pain. A neurologist or neurosurgeon are best qualified to evaluate and advise you.? MRI
