68-yo active male. Progressive pain in shoulder joint, sometimes sharp. Is there a simple procedure to reduce inflammation?
Complex Joint: The shoulder is a complex joint, & many conditions/ injuries (rotator cuff strain bursitits, tendonitis, labral pathology, nerve injury, etc) can cause pain. Some injuries of the shoulder occur due to acute injury & some from overuse. Start with rice (includes ice) consider a gradual return to activity, and see an orthopedist if pain persist. Armpit swelling & burning pain for 3 weeks. Now have burning pain in shoulder blades & stiff back. Do I have cancer?
Have anexam: The lymph nodes in your arm pits may be fighting some sort of infection and your depleted condition and tension/fatigue could have affected your back. See a Dr to find the cause (s) and get some relief. While I'd be silly to declare that you don't have cancer latent somewhere - I don't see any reason to think you do. Ask the doctor who does your exam/lab work to evaluate that possibility. Best!See 1 more doctor answer
I am experiencing popping or snapping sound from shoulder joint. The following also describes me: Shoulder pain. What should I do?
It depends,,,: It depends on how long you have had this and if it stops you from doing your regular activity. If it has been going on for a long time, it might be a good idea to see a doctor who specializes in joints like an Orthopedist. If it is of a more recent nature, and it is very painful, it might be wise to see a doctor sooner for an exam. Best of luck.
The last 2 days I've been having a severe sharp burning pain under right collarbone. I'm on morphine for my neck its not even relieving shoulder pain
See your doctor: If you are having pain and you are already on significant pain medication then it is important to have any new pain checked out. Imagine how bad the new pain would be without being on pain medication and that would assuredly bring you to the doctor.
Nerve related: Possibly stemming from the back i.E herniated or bulging disc. I would follow up with an orthopedist or possibly neurologist.See 1 more doctor answer
I have had really bad shoulder pain. I've had 2 steroid injections in 2 months the pain is back and worse than ever. It hurts shoulder joint to neck?
Get evaluated: Sometimes shoulder pain can overlap with cervical spine radiculopathy and therefore will not respond to injection. In addition to this you could have an underlying injury to your rotator cuff which is not responding to injection. Either way an MRI of the shoulder might be indicated if your pain has not resolved. If this is negative then there might be a neurological component that needs a workup.

I have occasional burning sensation upper back. Combined with right abdominal gnawing. Also up back pain shoulder pain. My gallbladder is 9%?
Might have: Biliary dyskinesia where the gallbladder functions poorly. Are your symptoms related to eating or is it just a random occurrence? Review your tests with the doctor who ordered them to see if you should have a referral to a gastroenterologist or if a referral to a general surgeon is indicated. If there is true biliary dyskinesia, some patients find relief with gallbladder surgery (but not everyone).

Muscle: There are basically two components of what stabilizes a joint: static & dynamic. Static issues that you can't really strengthen include ligaments/cartilage/labrum/etc and negative (suction) pressure between the joint. Dynamic stabilizers (which you can strengthen) are the muscles around the joint. Proper muscle strengthening surrounding the joint can definitely aid in joint stability.
