Unlikely Diabetes: If not diabetic and sugars well controlled its not likely a neuropathy due to diabetes. However, most often the pain and feet tingling are related coming from the back (sciatica). If you are not improved in a few days, I would suggest you see your doctor for a full evaluation. ...Read more
3 days ago I was told I have a small avulsion fracture of my navicular bone on my left foot. My heal of my foot has a burning pain. Is that normal?
Could be fungus: That is the most common culprit in that area or it could be the fourth toe and fifth toe rubbing against each other, sometime there may be a corn on either toe. If you see any peeling its likely fungus, or a crack in the web. So apply antifungal if its the latter put cotton in between the two toes to avoid them hitting each other. ...Read more

Burning sensation in top of right foot by all toes lasts for 10 sec comes &goes. Told docror. Not concerned. Not diabetic. What would cause this?
Varies: There is a nerve on the tip of the foot that supplies that area and is superficial, it is possible that you are developing a neuroma there. Don't hesitate to see a podiatrist or orthopedist for it. ...Read more
I am experiencing foot numbness and burning sensation. My plantar nerve was removed. Should half of my big toe be numb?
Unclear: Not sure why you had either/both of your plantar nerves removed - nor any past history of relevant diseases associated with a neuropathy. The innervation of the top of the foot and the bottom are different, and the lack of plantar nerve (s) make it more complex. Please consult your doctor who can sort through all of these issues to localize the issue and additional tests to define it better. ...Read more
