May not be hip.: This can happen but is unusual. Hip pain usually is most pronounced in the groin and radiates down towards the knee. It is rare to have it radiate up to the abdomen. You should see a doctor with experience in this type of problem and be certain of the cause of the pain. Once the diagnosis is certain it will be much easier to decide on a treatment. With hip pain, at 26, see a Rheumatologist. ...Read more

You're asking for a diagnosis. My reply to your post is not a diagnosis, just a suggestion of a possibility. Tenderness: If you have significant (and asymmetric when compared to the opposite side) tenderness over the bursa, then likely bursitis. Referred pain does not cause tenderness. Gluteal tendonopathy often co-exists with bursitis. Consider a steroid injection into the bursa region, which can be diagnostic and therapeutic. ...Read more

Can pfiriformis syndrome cause burning in the whole leg? Along with a strange coldness feeling. Along with hip pain?

Piriformis Pain: The sciatic nerve runs underneath the piriformis muscle and typically does not irritate the nerve.
