See an osteopath: You're right hip injury needs to be looked at further. I would see an osteopathic physician, who can do a complete workup, spinal and hip evaluation, and also treat you. Hip pain radiated up right abdomen. Also does the same on left abdomen. Activity worsens it. More of sore/burning pain. Been present for 6 months?
May not be hip.: This can happen but is unusual. Hip pain usually is most pronounced in the groin and radiates down towards the knee. It is rare to have it radiate up to the abdomen. You should see a doctor with experience in this type of problem and be certain of the cause of the pain. Once the diagnosis is certain it will be much easier to decide on a treatment. With hip pain, at 26, see a Rheumatologist. ...Read more

Piriformis Pain: The sciatic nerve runs underneath the piriformis muscle and typically does not irritate the nerve. You become more aware of it at night because you have nothing else to think about. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms. He/she may want to run some other tests. ...Read more
