Possibly...: More tests may be indicated. If you still have symptoms (for which you had all these tests), ask your doctor to send you to a cardiologist who will take your H&P and possibly order other tests, such as Holter monitoring, electrophysiology studies, echocardiogram, and others as clinically indicated by careful cardiological examination. ...Read more

Sure: I can be acid reflux or GERD or some other upper GI issue. Have an exam to rule out other possibilities too. I'd hate to miss spicy food, but some need to avoid it for a time or forever Be evaluated and do what's best for you! ...Read more

A couple of things: There are a few things that can cause that symptom. Regurgitation and reflux probably being one of the more common ones. If your PCP has ruled out the heart and there's nothing else except that prolonged burning then, I think it less likely cardiac. You may also have an entrapped nerve twig supplying the pectoral region or skin (perhaps trapped by the clavicle)...sensory neuropathy. ...Read more

Likely esoph reflux: Duration of symptoms? Minutes, hours, days?At age 23 unlikely to have a cardiac cause. No use of street drugs, cocaine, excess energy drinks? More likely to be reflux of stomach content into esophagus. No sweats, short of breath, nausea, lightheadedness? More likely esoph related. Any of the above? Call/see md asap. ...Read more
