Sharp burning pain under right armpit only when I move my arm a certain way and nit all the time. Just once in awhile. Very painful.

Sharp burning pain under right armpit only when I move my arm a certain way and nit all the time. Just once in awhile. Very painful.

Shoulder pain: To help more would need to know the "certain way" you move it Armpit pain is usually from the joint. Intermittent pain would indicate a capsular tear. If it gets bothersome enough to consider surgery (arthroscopic, outpatient)then get an MRI and see a surgeon. Otherwise avoid using it the "Certain way" for a few weeks to let it heal. You may need a follow up. Let us know.

I am 46 and I have been having this burning pain in my right armpit and breast and middle of my back what can it be?

Just started?: This is concerning for possible shingles if you are also developing a rash in the area. This condition needs to be treated sooner than later. If you are getting a rash or sores then get to your pcp to get checked out.

Severe and burning pain under the left armpit on the ribs. Hurts w/ light touch, really bad pain when pushed on or twist. No visible bruise or rash.

Possibly shingles: Shingles starts out as a burning pain which is highly sensitive with no visible rash. The rash comes a few days later. You might also have some other type of infection. Shingles should be treated early with an antiviral to prevent scarring and neuralgia (nerve pain) that can be long-lasting. Please see your doctor.

What causes a 5 minute burning pain in left ribs below armpit? This was jus below the bra line. Pain was worse when pressed on ribs.

What causes a 5 minute burning pain in left ribs below armpit? This was jus below the bra line. Pain was worse when pressed on ribs.

Most would say......: ......costochondritis or something like that because of what you mentioned as being exacerbated by PRESSING down on the ribs. However, I don't have a good reason why it should subside in 5 minutes and why it should be a BURNING pain which generally suggests the entrapment of a nerve. Unless, due to the tightness of your bra...perhaps a little twig of a nerve was caught then, released somehow by

What would cause burning pain in left shoulderblade, under armpit in left rib cage along bra line, under left breast, and in left side arm near bicep?

Burning pain: Have you experienced a rash in that same area? You are describing the pain that one sees with shingles. The pain will follow the path of a nerve affected by the reactivation of the virus that causes Chicken Pox.

I have a burning sensation in my armpit could it be stress related or linked to the cold I have?

I have a burning sensation in my armpit could it be stress related or linked to the cold I have?

Both!: There is no spinal or peripheral nerve that innervates that area! Could also be cryptic psoriasis, irritation from underarm agent or low grade fungal infection. If it persists, see your doctor. You did not describe if it looked different. Oh yes, could be referred pain from your shoulder. But it would be shoulder movement related, not constant!

2 lumps in my armpit that sometimes hurt if I touch them. Plus some burning sensation, should I be worried?

2 lumps in my armpit that sometimes hurt if I touch them. Plus some burning sensation, should I be worried?

Need to examine: What your described suggests inflamed lymph nodes and you should see a doctor as you may need antibiotic treatment. Wish you good health! For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine

Burning pain in the crease of both armpits. Comes and goes. Tried to not wear deodorant, and it didn't help. What could it be?

Irritant: If you have avoided using deodorant for more than a week but still have the pain, this may be from the soap which was not rinsed out thoroughly. Is the pain superficial or deep? If it is superficial, try lidocaine or 1% hydrocortisone cream 2x daily on the armpit areas to see if this helps. If no improvement after a couple of days, see doctor.
