Burning Muscle Pain In Upper Back
I've seen a rheumy about my burning/prickly muscle pain in upper back. Mri and bloods clear. They think poss fibro. Should I see a neurologist?
It's your call.: My assumption is if all your tests are normal & u don't have weakness, numbness & tingling of your extremities, then likely it's not serious. Your pain likely is musculoskeletal in nature, possibly a pinched nerve in your cervical or thoracic spine, a bruising or strained muscle or ligament from strenuous physical activity. Fibromyalgia is a (clinical) DX of exclusion. Take care! ...Read more
It is a body tissue that has the ability to contract. It shortens and generates force. It relaxes and returns to its original length. Muscles move joints, stabilize the body, move air and food through the organs, act as valves for bladder, bowel and other organs. They control movement of the eyes. I have mid to upper back pain. It feels as though my muscles never relaxed and feel strained. What could be wrong?
Chain reaction: Your entire spine is a series of curves. If one area's stuck or tight, another might shift or take on more loading that you feel as strain. See a doctor (do/md) skilled in rehab and osteopathic manipulative treatment to determine underlying medical concerns as well as biomechanical factors and treatment by them or by pt. Also find ways to relax your inner self as well as body. ...Read more

Having some pretty bad upper back pain and im also feeling pain in my chest for the past 10 hours should I be concerned or did I just pull a muscle?
Severl possibilities: You are very young for spinal causes of back pain and when doctors hear the word burning they also thing about nerve pain, sciatica and infection for starters. Thus, it would be fantastic for you to see your PCP or even Ob/Gyn or possibly Spine Specialist for an initial evaluation to ensure you are not pregnant or with infection and then to obtain a more complete history and do an exam. Really bad upper back pain behind rib and down the left side what could be the cause of it? Muscles?
Hard to say: Unless you injured it, it would be unusual to have really bad back pain from the muscles in your back. There are many potential causes some of which are musculoskeletal, but some which are not. A kidney infection, known as a pyelonephritis is just one example. Consider being checked. Thank you for the question. ...Read more

Isolated burning tho the back of the shoulder and upper back may be less likely due to a disc hernia tion. ...Read more

I keep getting a weird tingly burning sensation at the tops of both breasts. Not pain, discomfort. Doc says heart ok. Upper back pain. Anxiety. Ideas?
Probably ok: Your symptoms are unusual because there is tingling on both sides. If it was a stroke or a tumor, it would only be on one side of the body, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. It could be from anxiety, but that's an unusual way for it to present. There is a condition called myelitis, inflammation of the spinal cord, that could cause this.
