Burning Muscle Pain In Upper Back
I've seen a rheumy about my burning/prickly muscle pain in upper back. Mri and bloods clear. They think poss fibro. Should i see a neurologist ?

Severl possibilities: You are very young for spinal causes of back pain and when doctors hear the word burning they also thing about nerve pain, sciatica and infection for starters. Is there any reason i would get thigh burning pain at the same time my upper back pain flares up ? Both burning/prickly sensation. Very odd.
Depends: Disc herniations that are large enough can cause nerve compression that will cause referred pain along the pathway of the nerve. The shoulder is mainly covered by nerves coming from the neck. There should also be referred pain into the upper arm or even hand.
