At 29 years of age: The odds are in your favor, but I see under your "Conditions" you have listed coronary artery disease. If you've already had a heart attack or diagnosed with CAD - which is exceptionally rare - I wouldn't mess around with exertional based left arm pain. Review this with your doc. ...Read more

Many possible: diagnoses could explain your symptoms. At your age and sex and with a normal EKG and with the pain migrating it is unlikely to be anything serious. It is most likely musculo-skeletal. Medication complicat: The symptoms are from the atenolol and if they are from that med you probably have an intolerance to all beta blockers and medication metabolized by cytochrome p450 system in the liver. If someone has had a normal ECG several weeks ago, and now has symptoms, most causes may not have been on the earlier ECG. Need more info: How bad is it? Is the pain on the surface at the rib or deep in the chest? Does it come and go or change with coughing? Does it move? Does it radiate anywhere else? What makes it worse? Activity? Eating? Breathing? Did you injure yourself? Is it improving or worsening or the same.Other symptoms? Fevers? Chills? If worsening or a/w shortness of breath see an md.
