I am being treated for hep c genotype 3. I take 400 mg copegus (ribavirin) 2x day and 180mcg peginterferon 1x week. I've developed mouth sores and burning. It hurts to eat. Is this a reaction to the meds?

Is there a lower cost, long term over-the-counter mouth guard that can be worn at night to prevent teeth grinding? Would it prevent future TMJ issues?
Night guards: Night guards do not prevent grinding. Basically they protect teeth from being damaged. Over the counter mouthguards are too thick and not bite-balanced, so they can increase grinding, clenching, and TMJ dysfunction.
