Burning In Heel Of Foot
1.5 weeks ago, I fell & drs tell me I injured a nerve in foot, I have burning outside foot & heel, swelling and cold foot. What can help till next appt?
Needs an evaluation: Need more information regarding the injury. It would be very hard to JUST injure a nerve and nothing else. Burning, tingling, sharp, shooting pain indicates nerve issues. Rest, anti-inflammatories are your best bet. If it bothers you that much, may need to get a removable cast for further rest. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Severe burning pain in back of heel of foot was on my feet all day and I have spastic cerebral palsy?
I have tried new orthotics (temporary), but I get burning on the bottom of my feet. Because of heel pain, I can't go back to the old ones. Plz advise.
Further examination.: It sounds like you need to see a Podiatrist so you can get to the bottom of your problem. There are a lot of questions that need to be asked if it is "heel pain" or plantar fasciitis. Add stretching, ice at night and keep shoes on. If no better, see a Podiatrist. I wore shoes that I have never worn before. They are flat with a little heel.I know have severe burning feet and pain. Could those shoes be the cause of it and how is it that those shoes can cause these symptoms?
It could: If these shoes have thin, flexible soles they may not provide any support or cushioning for the feet. If you stand or walk a lot in them, this could be quite painful. Look for shoes that have more support and cushion. Make sure the shoes are not too narrow as well, as it can cause pain as well. If it doesn't help, see a podiatrist. ...Read more

There is a burning on the outside tip of my right heel when i flex my foot . It is also numb in that same spot.
Right heel pain: May be a heel spur/plantar fascitiis. The burning/tingling can be secondary to a neuroma, or tarsal tunnel problem.
