How old are you?: If you are in late forties, I would say this could be from Menopausal symptoms. Do you have Diabetes? Acrodynia: The best sense i can make out of the symptoms you report is a rare condition called "acrodynia" (which means painful hands & feet). This is usually due to heavy metal poisoning like from mercury, etc. Otherwise you may have a painful peripheral neuropathy, which can be due to something like a cyst in the spinal cord or from unknown causes. Stop!: Sensations may change as a result of 'pinched nerves' but it's not likely that this would be the only or main symptom. Certainly, don't catastrophize to even worse!! If you are right-handed and the variance is not extreme - you might just be more tuned-in to that hand's signals. Not clear: Several causes are possible: wrist arthritis, irritated skin (allergy, chemicals), nerve problems. Nerve problems only involving the top of the hand is extremely unlikely.
