Possible a nerve: Extremity nerve compression problems, tendinits or knee problems could cause your symptoms. More likley the burning down the leg could be from sciatica. Sciatica is due to low back issues such as arthritis or disc herniation compressing the sciatic nerve/branches. Leg: There is condition called meralgia paresthetica which involves femoral nerve which is above sciatic nerve from upper lumbar region. Nerves can be impinged or crowded as they exit spinal cord or in this case upper thigh as it exits groin area. May be related to excess use upper front thigh muscles.
