Back pain: Due to psoas muscle spasm, causing stretching of facet joint capsules in the back which irritates medial branch nerves, which in turn irritate bigger nerves called dorsal rami, which cause your back muscles to spasm up. Burning feeling: Is there a rash there? Because that could be shingles. If there's no rash after a week, it's probably not shingles. Did you have any trauma? A fall or bump into something?
