I have a burning aching feeling in my upper abdomen/my stomach after i eat that gradually goes away. It's been 3 days.
Dyspepsia: There are a lot of possibilities, but your description of burning stomach pain raises the probability of gastritis ; ulcers. Stop any non-prescribed nsaid's (aspiriin, advil, aleve, motrin, etc.) ; start an otc acid reducer (like Prilosec otc, Prevacid 24hr). LUQ abd discomfort: It could be many things. Is it worsened or relieved by eating? Worse with exercise? Exercise induced suggests musculoskeletal, food induced (especially fat) suggests gallbladder problems. You are already on Prilosec that should help with peptic problems. Impossible to say: If you had blood tests because of these symptoms, i would hope that they also did tests for pancreatic damage, particularly a lipase (or an older test, amylase). Are you still drinking, despite the pain? If so, i would be very concerned. Easiest way to find if they are related is to stop and see what happens.
