Introducing bland foods back into my body after 2 weeks of not eating, now getting a burning feeling right below the sternum and slight nausea.
I have a burning feeling below sternum in top of abdomen every day for 2 weeks all day could anxiety cause this?
I've had a fluttering or rushing feeling or right side below rib lately. Today, I have burning or a cramping feeling in sternum. Gallbladder problem?
Gallbladder pain: Typical pain form the gallbladder occurs in the abdomen below the right ribs in the front and sometimes below the breast bone. It radiates to the back. Consider this...: If you're indicating your epigastrium (just below the ribs in the midline), then you may have peptic disease (e.g. ulcer, gerd, reflux) or contractions or delayed emptying of the gut in that location (stomach, mid-colon). Severe GERD: If you have failed medication management then you need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist or surgeon that does egd. Chest pain: chest pain with no other symptoms could be nothing or could be serious. Do you have a risk factor for heart disease like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, nicotine use or family history ? Do you lift heavy weights? Any history of anxiety? Sudden onset burning sensation right under sternum. I was cleaning dishes when it started, I ate about 2 hours ago, pain goes away upon sitting still?
Couple of things: This could be from pulling a muscle in between your ribs or it may be reflux disease due to what you ate for lunch. Try Tylenol or ibuprofen and see if it goes away.
