Leg: There is condition called meralgia paresthetica which involves femoral nerve which is above sciatic nerve from upper lumbar region. Nerves can be impinged or crowded as they exit spinal cord or in this case upper thigh as it exits groin area. May be related to excess use upper front thigh muscles. Nerve irritation can be burning, " numbness" evan itch or other discomforts but nerves follow pattern. ...Read more

Sounds like: Nerve irrritation (could be L4-5 Lumbar spine nerve in back) You might consider suggesting this to your PCP (Primary Care Provider) to consider this diagnosis!

This often is related to this superficial nerve being "squeezed" as it passes through the groin. Need more info: What level of spine was the mri--cervical, thoracic or lumbar? What neurological exam findings do you have? How did you injure your back, was it one acute accident or years of wear & tear? See neurologist: It is good that there is nothing on CT or your initial lab work, but further workup may be needed. See a neurologist as soon as possible! Avoid alcohol, rec. Drugs.
