Assuming your doctor did thorough interview & exam, if stomach acid seems to be most likely cause, then high dose omeprazole (Prilosec) can help determine if acid is to blame. LUQ abd discomfort: It could be many things. Is it worsened or relieved by eating? Worse with exercise? Exercise induced suggests musculoskeletal, food induced (especially fat) suggests gallbladder problems. You are already on Prilosec that should help with peptic problems.
