Workup mgt: These symptoms may be related to Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), especially given the relationship between the pain and eating. There are many causes of chest pain - it does not have to be cardiac, but the key to a good workup is a good history and physical exam by your physician. Mgt: It could be either, but if it is reproduced by pressing on the area of pain, it is more likely to be muscular. If you have no history of illness, including cardiac disease and no family history of cardiac issues, then muscular would be more common in your age group.
