Burned Feeling After Ct Scan
Ihave minor burning comes and goes and traces of blood on my urine. Had a CT scan done on my hip area everything is normal. My kidney blood test nmal?
See a urologist: You need to find out the reason for blood in your urine. Hip ct probably did not cover the necessary anatomy. Could the ct have been of the entire abdomen and pelvis? Also, was contrast administered via a vein? If no to either or both, may need a dedicated kidney ct (ct urogram), and/or ct for kidney stones, which is a common reason for blood in the urine, but does not explain "burning". ...Read more

The image shows excellent soft tissue detail, enhanced with injection of intravenous contrast or oral contrast. This way the body is shown in slices, in any plane, usually axially, but ...Read more

17 yr-old competitive golfer with right low back deep burning pain on and off for 7 months. CT and 2 MRIs were negative. What to evaluate next.....?
Nerve root: Although CT/MRI are good for obvious nerve damage, muscular and soft tissue injuries are not as easily to pinpoint, as well as stretching of nerve roots and the resultant pain - I suggest symptomatic treatment including appropriate physical therapy, rest, and medication, if appropriate from your provider if choice ...Read more
I have a burning and stabbing pain in my right side had blood work and cat scan today they say all is ok but pain in still there?
OK.: CT scan shows anatomy. Blood work can demonstrate physiologic or metabolic abnormality. Neither of them directly assesses pain. Seems like your pain may be due to something else - maybe in the skin or in the nerve.... Shingles can cause pain like this, so can an early hernia or a muscle strain. ...Read more

I had pneumonia and my last CT scan showed that it's all clear but I'm still feeling quite lousy how long should it take for the pneumonia to totally get out of my system so I feel back to normal?
Pneumonia is a serious lung infection that can make you very ill. Pneumonia often clears up with proper treatment in 2 to 3 weeks. Make certain you get adequate rest, drink a lot of fluids, stay away from
smokers, and eat well with a daily multivitamin. I also suggest a follow-up chest X-ray and CBC to make certain there is no remaining focus of infection. ...Read more

What is PND: Sorry but not sure what you mean by PND? In doctor speak PND stands for paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea, which is awakening at night because you become short of breath due to symptoms of heart failure. I don't think that is what you meant. Feeling my heartbeat in stomach for over a week with some pain. I have also been feeling just blah. Did get a Ct scan, was negative. Still concerned?
Resolving GI bug?: The most concerning thing about "feeling heartbeat in stomach" is a prominent pulse of the aorta possibly associated with an aneurysm. This would be VERY unusual in a 25 year old. But I presume this was excluded in the CT scan. So then we are left with some abdominal pain & the blah's. Keep up hydration, eat a slightly bland diet, exercise but don't overdo, and consider?? mood issues/depression? ...Read more
