Make sure not to eat: Before giing to bed at least 3 hours or more. Hydrate a lot. Use a pillow or two to sleep on at night to prevent acid reflux. Stay away from tomatoes and processed, fried foods and sodas and see if it improves. See your doctor to make sure you don't have an ulcer developing or have H. Pylori too. This is not DIY. Depends on the: Depth of the burn. Only a trained medical person can tell the depth. If it is a heating pad burn, it is usually superficial, second degree at the most. If it is truly only second degree, topical antibiotic ointment and occulsive dressing for a week should do it. But, more importantly, why did you not feel the burning in the first place?
