Yes, with some tests: Buproprion can show up as methamphetamine on routine drug screens. Tell the agency/person/department doing it that you are on it and they can do a more specific test that won't confuse the two. This works, unless you are on methamphetamines too! I just had a severe reaction to bupropion HCl 300mg which required a visit to emergency room. I only took 1. Should I just stop taking it?
Bupropion AE: You don't mention what the reaction was or what you were prescribed bupropion to treat (smoking cessation? -- usually is XL 150mg. Depression?), or what the adverse effect you experienced was. Check the instructions provided to you by the ER. My arnp has me on 20 mg of Lexapro (escitalopram) 1x daily as well as bupropion HCl sr 150mg 2x daily. I'm reading they don't mix well? Should i wean off lexapro (escitalopram)?

Lexapro or other ssri's are often combined with wellbutrin (bupropion) to help people who have combination of atypical depressive symptoms ; typical depressive sxs or anxiety disorders.
