Bupro+sertra caused excessive daytime sleepiness, >10mon, Prozac (fluoxetine) worse, fully interacted with my life. Please guide me. Grateful.

Unusual problem: Bupropion (wellbutrin), sertraline (zoloft), and Prozac (fluoxetine) are usually activating antidepressants. Excessive daytime sleepiness is uncommon with any of them, but is more likely from the ssris (sertraline and fluoxetine). It may be that bupropion by itself would not cause this side-effect. Best to discuss this with your prescribing doctor. ...Read more

I am fat so can I eat just one burger a day?

This would not be: A good plan. Your idea to reduce calories is good but there are two problems: the number of calories in a burger would be between 350-450 calories, on average, not enough for an entire day. And the nutrients in a burger (fat, carbs, few vitamins and minerals) aren't optimal. You should target 1000-1200 calories a day emphasizing veggies, fruits, healthy carbs and protein. And bump up exercise! ...Read more

I just burned myself, what should I out on it?

I just burned myself, what should I out on it?

Cold: The only tales about butter and grease are not useful or effective. Reach in your freezer and get a bag of peas or corn and put that on the burn for 10-15 minutes. This will relieve pain, prevent the burn from deepening and frequently will cause any delayed effects from happening. If the skin comes off or is charred, then see your doctor. ...Read more

I was burned with a piece of metal at 220 degrees how can I make myself comfortable?

First Ice: First, apply ice to get out the heat. You could apply aloe vera, but the most effective treatment would be a prescription of silvadene (silver sulfadiazine). A proper dressing of silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) will not only be anti-bacterial, but will cool the burn pain. Perhaps even a little Hydrocortisone cream and advil from the store will help with the pain and inflammation. ...Read more

I burned myself and the pain is nowhere near gone. It doesn't look too bad but it hurts like crazy?

Evaluation: Burns can be extremely painful. Especially 1st and 2nd degree burns. 3rd degree burns have little or no pain as all layers of the skin have been damaged with destruction of the superficial nerves. Pain post burn can be related to the heat trauma early on, but can be related to supra-infection of the burn site in later stages of the burn. I recently ate a medium rare possibly more on the rare side burger at a high end resteraunt who locally sources meet, was this highly dangerous?

A bit risky: While it is safe to eat a rare steak, ground beef has a greater chance of being contaminated with bacteria such as E. coli or salmonella and should thus be heated to 160 degrees, which generally means cooked medium. You will probably be OK but doing this does put you at risk of problems. See http://www. Eatright. Org/resource/homefoodsafety/four-steps/cook/can-rare-meat-be-safe ...Read more
