Retroverted uterus
Pcos
Planning on conceiving ?

Not too thick: An 8-9 mm endometrial thickness is not much for someone your age. Discuss with your Obgyn the results. The term heterogeneous could imply an endometrial polyp. Your doctor can determine if further testing with a sonohystogram is warranted or not. ...Read more

Fibroids: The muscle of your uterus looks irregular. While this can be due to endometriosis it is most frequently caused by small fibroids. This finding like all lab or x-ray findings is best understood in the context of your symptoms which led to the testing. Lacking that context and your medical history, it is difficult to say more. ...Read more

TVUSG report says: "Bulky uterus with small subserous fibroids. Thickened endometrium. Small cysts in ovaries." Period late by 15days. Please advice?

Depends: I think the small subserous fibroids are a non-issue. More like an incidental finding. The rest (thickened endometrium, small cysts in ovaries, late period) can all be explained with something like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). If you are trying to conceive then you will likely need to see a physician for help with ovulation induction (using medications). Losing weight can also help. ...Read more

Going through menopause. T-vag says endo stripe is 0.4 cm, small post.Uterin fibroid 0.9cm, some benign nabothian cysts in cervix. Anything worrisome?

No worries.: A small uterine fibroid is usually asymptomatic and is not dangerous. A fibroid will usually shrink after menopause from decreasing estrogen levels. Ultrasound findings , abnormal bleeding for 5 weeks..Endometrium thickness was 0.7cm uterus is diffusley heterogeneous calcifications both ovaries?

Dysfunctional Bleed: Abnormal bleeding could be caused by an endometrial abnormality such as a polyp or tumor. A hysterosonogram, in which saline is instilled into the uterine cavity during ultrasound may provide more information. An endometrial biopsy will likely be needed to better define the problem. Irregular bleeding may also be experienced in the perimenopausal period. ...Read more

Endometrial lining was 1mm 7 days post ovulation- periods are very light, 2 miscarriages, HSG shows abnormal uterine shape- could this be asherman's?

Yes, Asherman's: Asherman's syndrome is adhesions of the uterus. The adhesions form usually after a procedure like a D&C for miscarriage. Adhesions are areas where there is no normal endometrial tissue cover that will grow to allow for pregnancy implantation or periods. Treating this can be difficult and take time to heal. I recommend you seek care with a reproductive endocrinologist. ...Read more

Heavy uterine bleeding 3 weeks pelvic/transvaginal us hyperechoic uterine fundal myometrial focus may represent atypical fibroid or adenomyosis ?

Bleeding: Since its a focal area its more likely to be adenomyosis, which typically gets progressively worse as you age. However, you're also at the age when ovarian dysfunction often causes irregular, heavy and/or prolonged bleeding. You might be a good candidate for an endometrial ablation assuming you are done with having babies. ...Read more

Post menopause break through bleeding. Ultra sound .61 cm endometrial stripe. Heterogeneous uterus with 2 small fibroids. Is D and C necessary?

Not always.: Anytime their is postmenopausal bleeding then an US evaluation of the uterine lining should be performed. If the endometrial stripe is more than 3-5 mm then an endometrial sample should be taken. This can usually be done in the office and does not require a D and C. Sometimes your doctor may want to insert a thin flexible camera into the uterus to further evaluate the lining. ...Read more
