Any symptoms?: Hello JSwenson, I am sorry you are concerned about this. Since this is the first time you had a sexual encounter, I wonder if what you are feeling has always been there, just that now you are paying more attention. Are small little bumps around the vaginal opening normal in a teen? And if lightly scratched or itched, bleed?

Whenever i'm douching , i feel like small bumps around my vaginal opening, what is it? Worried..

No douching: Douching is not recommended. It increases the risk of pelvic infections. Use just plain soap and water for cleaning the outside genitals. The vagina is self-cleaning. The bumps are likely normal parts of your anatomy. Either hymenal ring or glands. You can have an exam and ask the doctor to show you the normal anatomy so you have a better idea of what is normal. ...Read more

I suspect that I may have a yeast infection I have small white bumps around my vaginal opening that burn and itch. Could this be what I suspect?

Yeast? Herpes?: Yeast usually causes itching, irritation, and redness of the affected area, sometimes with white discharge. It could cause "white bumps", but usually not as the only symptom. If these started as blister-like with clear fluid that turned white over a day or two, or if they are becoming open sores, herpes would be likely. Don't take chances: see a doctor for professional evaluation. Good luck! ...Read more
