Bumps On The Vagina During Pregnancy
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Do obgyns routinely test for herpes during pregnancy? I have a patch of little bumps by my vagina. They've been there for weeks. They don't hurt thoug
Not herpes: These bumps definitely are not herpes. Lesions of genital herpes go from red bump to blister to sore (with scab if on a dry surface) and then heal over 1-3 weeks. Genital warts are a possibility, but maybe nothing abnormal. Show your obstetrician. Some Ob's test routinely for HSV infection, but most probably do not -- but if you remain concerned about herpes, probably she will test you. Good luck!
Vaginal supos. Progesterone od? 2000 mg per day for 2 days, before only 1100 mg over the 7 weeks of pregnancy, is new bump in vagina, edema? Serious?
Doubt it: If there is a new bump/mass you should have your doctor examine it, but highly unlikely a discrete mass is caused by Progesterone suppositories. Edema is diffuse and would not mostly be felt as a mass. In 20 years I've not seen this from Progesterone suppositories, but alternatives include intravaginal Crinone (progesterone gel) gel and intramuscular shots of Progesterone in oil.See 1 more doctor answer
Vibrator: Yes, one can use a vibrator during pregnancy
See below: The vagina has no hair, so I think you are asking is it safe to shave the vulva during pregnancy- yes.
Soap and Water: It does not sound hygienic. Doesn't warm water with soap work better at cleansing?
Nothing weird: May be due to change of bacterial flora, maintaining good hygiene will help, and speak to ob;gyn doctor.
Unlikely but possibl: As above- due to Progesterone levels being high.
Is it compulsory for every woman that her vagina should bleed during her first sex? Or else there will a problem in her pregnancy?
No, of course not...: The bleeding with first sex idea is overdone. It doesn't always happen. Bleeding means there were little tears. If a woman has a healthy vulva, vagina, and hymen; if she is very stretchy; if she is happy and relaxed, with lots of natural lubrication; if a guy enters at a good angle, at the right spot; if he moves with gentler motions until she is well-lubricated; there may not be any bleeding.See 2 more doctor answers
Yes it can: Vaginal moisture and "wetness" is often attributed to fluid movement across the walls of the vagina which become vascularly engorged especially when stimulated or excited. However general pelvic vascular congestion occurs during pregnancy and can result in enlargement of vuvlvar structures, varicosities, and increased moisture.
