Bumps On Penis Symptoms
I am experiencing thigh rash and painless fleshy genital bumps. The rash looks like jock itch but my penis has little bumps on the shaft.
Molluscum?: This is suspicious for molluscum contagiosum, a minor viral infection. "Jock itch" appearance doesn't fit well, but "fleshy bumps" is suspicious, especially if shiny pink and some have dimples in the center. (Google for photos.) At age 22, most genital area MC is sexually acquired. It's a minor problem, never serious. See doc for diagnosis and treatment, and perhaps tests for other STDs. ...Read more
Pearly papules?: One man in 100 is the lucky owner of "pearly penile papules", a row of bumps along the corona on the back of the gland / head. Check internet photos and see if this is you. If your life-partner doesn't like them, you can have them lasered off. Or you may decide they're cool. They are not a sexually transmitted disease or a cancer risk. ...Read more
?Pearly pink papules: A symmetrical ring of of ting bumps around penis just under outer edge of glans penis are perfectly normal. Tend to be more prominent on an uncircumcised penis and can appear to be more or less prominent from time to time. They are normal. Penis bumps: Penis bumps can be many things. Some STDs, some not. Only general advice can be given without a photo or physical exam. Top 2 photos are non-STDs: Fordyce spots (sebum which can be extricated by M.D. or left alone), Infected hair follicle (plucked and kept clean). Bottom 2 photos are STDs (HPV and Molluscum) to be evaluated by your MD so s/he can rule out other STDs and council you for prevention. ...Read more
Probably okay...: Probably not serious at all. Clinically, they may be just some hyperplastic hair follicles and sebaceous glands, which are common and no harm. Here are some ...: Without a direct look and palpation, it's hard to give an accurate Dx. But, clinically, these bumps may be just overgrowth of sebaceous glands resulting in various size of bumps, which are harmless and require no Rx except the occurrence of superimposed infection. Several causes: Little itchy bumps on the nape, several forms of dermatitis (skin inflammation), folliculitis (inflammation ofthe hair follicles) , ? Rash: It sounds like you are being exposed to something you are allergic to. Try to find out the trigger. In the meantime, avoid popping them and apply Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or a mild hydrocortisone cream. See your doctor for confirmation.
