How long should it take for bump on a baby's head to go down after falling? Mine is 20 months old.
No: Babies learning to cruise and walk fall often, and bump their heads often. The skull is thick and designed to take those types of knocks. Unless she has suffered from serious head injuries causing loss of consciousness or requiring hospitalization, your baby and her iq are absolutely fine. More details?: The opening at the top of the baby's head is called a fontanelle. It usually gradually closes by the end of the first year to 15 months. If you are palpating a swelling in that area, the baby needs to be checked. An ultrasound may be performed through that opening.
