It sounds like you may have had two small infected hair follicles - folliculitis that have at least partially resolved (as this can) on their own. Lymph nodes: These are likely lymph nodes ("swollen glands") which are part of your normal immune system. If you just noticed them and they aren't bothering you and you have no other symptoms, then you can keep an eye on them and see what happens.
