Bumps And Sores On Body From Dialysis
Fistula +/- aneurysm: Dialysis patients need a mature vein that can withstand repeated puncture which is created by diverting arterial flow into a nearby vein. Needling the same site causes a loss of pain nerve fibers, and thus patients prefer that site for repeated use. This can cause fibrosis and thinning of the wall at that site, resulting in aneurysmal dilatation. This is not in danger of rupturing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My mother has an impaired kidney with creatinine between 4-5. Has developed severe body itching recently. Any help for itching? Not on dialysis yet

I would imagine that your mother is near 60. Have her doctor collect a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance (cc). If the result is < 10 ml/min, she will need to start dialysis and that would stop her itching. Check her serum phosphorus and pth. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
