Lump between jaw and ear. Above jaw, below ear. I have bad teeth on that side (left). Pain in jaw hinge and shooting into ear. Lump is pretty big.
More information: I wish I had some more information, like if you ever feel your ear popping or feel like you can hear yourself talking out of that ear because if you did I'd think you have a problem with your eustachian tube. May be TMJ: This complaint suggests inflammation of the TMJ joint. People who gring or clench their teeth often get this. People who have misaligned teeth can get this. Soft pea size red painful lump behind right ear and feels like its dripping , also a swollen lymph node below the ear near jawline. What to do ?
Probable node: Could be a lymph node or salivary gland tumor pushing the ear forward. If there is fever, tenderness pain and swelling behind the ear, hearing loss, ear drainage i would be concerned about infection in the mastoid bone which needs urgent assessment.
