I have a bump on the side of my eye. What is it?

Could be many things: When evaluating bumps on the eye, it is important to know the exact location, color, pain level, age of patient etc. As there are many diagnoses that can be described as bumps. The most common bump on the eyelid is a chalazion or a stye, both can be treated with warm compresses. If the lesion does not improve, make sure you have it evaluated by an eye doctor.

Red bump: You may have a stye on your eyelid. Apply hot compresses to the stye until it comes to a head and drains.

Hey I have a white spot on both side sof the inner corner near my eye. Its not a bump?

Hey I have a white spot on both side sof the inner corner near my eye. Its not a bump?

Pingueculae: You have discovered your pingueculae, spots of elastic and fibrous tissue next the the cornea at the three and nine o'clock position. These are the normal response to wind, dust and UV light. They become highlighted when the eye gets red for other reasons. These are normal, will not harm the eye or vision and are nothing to worry about.

Please help urgent! I have a black /blue big bump in my eyeball in white side of eye. What to do?

Please help urgent! I have a black /blue big bump in my eyeball in white side of eye. What to do?

Need to see ophthalm: You should see an ophthalmologist right away in order to get a diagnosis. It could be benign, but it also might need a biopsy or possibly even an excision. If you have history of glaucoma as a child it could be related. But it is important to see an ophthalmologist right away for a diluted exam. You may need special tests like ultrasound or even an mri, and you may be referred to a ophthal. Sp.

My husband has bumps on both inner corner of the eye. It does bother him. One side of these bumps are bigger than the other. Should I be concerned?

My husband has bumps on both inner corner of the eye. It does bother him. One side of these bumps are bigger than the other. Should I be concerned?

Bumps near eye: If you mean that your husband has little blobs of tissue on his skin near his eye, they are likely blobs of fat made from cholesterol. Please ask him to see his doctor. They are fairly common and do not need to be removed unless they bother the person w/them but the doctor will let you know. Peace and good health.

Should I be concerned about small bumps between my nose and eyes and also on one side of my nose?

Should I be concerned about small bumps between my nose and eyes and also on one side of my nose?

See a dermatologist: This requires a clinical exam. Most commonly, the tiny bumps between your nose and eyes are syringomas (sweat gland growths), sebaceous hyperplasia (oil gland growths) or milia (little cysts). However there are other conditions that can result in small bumps. A confirmation by your dermatologist is recommended.

My left eye is so itchy so I rubbed it then I woke up with a bump in the left side of my eyeball. A bit swollen too. What to do?

Sudden eye swelling: Hard to know what is going on from the description here, but sudden eye swelling around the eye could be a sign of bacterial infection, which can spread quickly and compromise your site. Have this evaluated very quickly. Virtual consults on this site can be used for personalized advice, in this case to better determine urgency.

I have tiny bumps under my eyes and on the area on the either side of my nose. Its been there for 4 years. How can I get rid of it and what is it?

See your eye MD: Your eye md can help you get rid of those bumps. There are many possibilities including pimples, plugged glands, mollusucm contagiosum, polyps, verrucus growths, moles, and others. An exam in person is necessary to identify and treat properly.

I have a small bump on the lower right back side of my head. I've been having headaches in my right eye and feeling dizzy. What is this?

Unrelated bump: Most likely your headaches and dizziness are due to migraine headaches, and unrelated to the bump on the back of the head. See a neurologist.

Pingueculae: You may have a pingueculae, an elevation of the conjunctiva that is due to uv exposure, and may be inflammed. You should see an ophthalmologist to make sure thr area is not infected.

Had what I thought to be a stye on my lower eyelid, although no bump ever appeared. The pain is less there, but now eye hurts to look up and to sides.

Eye Pain: Is never normal and in my opinion always requires an evaluation. Please go see your doctor right away, meaning today for an evaluation. If you wear contacts take them out!

My two year old has small bumps around her mouth and a few on the side of her eye and nose since five days ago they don't itch or hurt very confused?

My two year old has small bumps around her mouth and a few on the side of her eye and nose since five days ago they don't itch or hurt very confused?

Molluscum?: 5 days is very short, so it could be lots of things, but molluscum contagiosum is common. They are usually 1-3mm in diameter, skin color, and cause no irritation. Caused by a virus. Go away with time, but can take months. No good treatment options. Look up photos on Google or do a HealthTap Prime virtual consult with photos.

My son accidently kicked me in the back right side of my head and my head hurts on/off since last night, no bump not sore. Eye pain/twitches. Serious?

My son accidently kicked me in the back right side of my head and my head hurts on/off since last night, no bump not sore. Eye pain/twitches. Serious?

Bruise: Probably just suffered a local bruise. Use ice packs to the area kicked to help reduce inflammation. Eye twitches are usually the result of general fatigue and not really related to the injury. I can't explain the eye pain from your info - if it persists then get it assessed.
