What cause painful pinkish inner/dark red edges patch with a pea size lump underneath it? Located on the lower inner right thigh close to knee.
Shingles?: Without being able to look at it, i would hesitate to attempt a diagnosis. That being said, if it is painful, and has a "blister" look about it, it could be shingles, which can be treated. Get it looked at soon as getting on the antivirals for it sooner would give a better outcome. If, of course, it is shingles. ...Read more
Does cortisone help shrink hypertrophic tonsils? Are tonsil crypts located on the top part of tonsils? My tonsil looks like a crater just on the top.
Possible: If the tonsil is not inflamed or causing pain, it is unlikely that steroids will reduce the size of hypertrophic tonsils. Tonsillar crypts are all over the surface of the tonsils. The large one on the upper pole just happens to be more noticeable and could be a receptacle for food particles. If the tonsils are not infected frequently and you do not have sleep disorder, no treatment is necessary. ...Read more

Can a vascular malformation cause a hard blanchable lesion thats 10mm length x 6mm width on hard palate near the midline of palate?
Probably not: Usually a hard bony lesion at the midline of your palate is a benign mass called a 'palatal torus'. They can also be found on the insides of the lower jaw by the tongue. If it has grown rapidly, or is painful, you may want to have it checked by your dental professional. Vascular lesions are usually soft and slightly moveable instead of hard and fixed. Either way, check with your dentist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Are whitish-yellow bumps on the posterior pharynx dangerous? I have no other symptoms just the bumps
Had posterior vagina wall repair 2 weeks ago. Weird bumps and lumps all around the sutures, looks like little balls of flesh. Causes? Will it go away?
Probably normal: Tissue trauma from surgery initiates the body's natural healing mechanisms including the development of platelet rich plasma (PRP). The gel matrix that forms looks like swollen tissue. If you have ever had a scab that you looked under, the yellow "goo" in a wound is platelet rich plasma which is healing the trauma of a tissue wound. A discharge that looks like pus would be abnormal. ...Read more

Unlikely a problem: this could be a tiny mucous retention cyst or several other benign cysts. I would not be worried if you have no other symptoms. If it continues to enlarge, drains, becomes painful, you develop fevers or feel ill, you should be evaluated. Best to leave it alone and not irritate it. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck.
