Bump On My Neck
I can feel a little bump under my neck on the right side for the past 3 months, it's not visible, so should I be worried?
Adenopathy: Probably a swollen lymph node. I have had one for a long time. As long as it does not get bigger should not be issue. However if bigger and especially "spongier" I would get that checked. ...Read more

What medicine?: Are you on meds? You could have swollen lymph nodes. However the swollen lymph nodes suggest an inflammatory or infectious process happening in your body. I have a really little bump on my neck that you can only barely feel but not see it is very movable what do you think it is?
Mostly benign.: Moveable lumps are most often benign. The mobile lump in the neck may represent a lymph node, but it could also be associated with other structures in the neck such as the thyroid, parotid or submandibular glands; these can also represent a pathology that is developmental in its origin. The location of the lump is important as these glandular structures have set positions in the neck. ...Read more

Other symptoms?: If it was a hard hit and you felt dizzy, confused, nauseous, or had a headache afterwards, then you should see a doctor ASAP. If you have fever, severe neck pain, confusion or severe headache, then go to the ER immediately. If not a hard hit and none of those symptoms, use ice or head and pain meds as needed. If no change, then seek medical treatment. ...Read more
I have bumps on my neck, tiny ones and they are banded together in a circle. They dont hurt but itch ever so slightly periodically. What are they?
I have been experience pain on my left side of my neck. And sometimes I feel a bump on my neck of my left and sometimes it goes away sometimes not. ?
More worrisome neck: lumps/bumps, such as enlarged lymph nodes, are typically painless. I suspect you have a soft tissue (muscle/tendon/ligament) strain which may have occurred without you even realizing it. The bump is muscle tension or tightness. Apply some heat and consider gentle massage; if persists for more than 2-3 weeks, see your Doctor for evaluation. Good wishes:) ...Read more

Last month I had a pea-sized bump on my neck. Now it has been a bit smaller. It doesn't hurt but I hasn't gone away. Is it serious?
Unlikely: Lymph nodes are common in the neck area, as long as they are very tiny, less than 1/2 cm. If they increase in size, they need to be looked at. Any swelling that increases in size over a 1- 2 week period needs assessment. In your case, you stated that it got smaller, hence my comment above. If in doubt, would still talk to your doctor and have it seen and felt. Better to be safe. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
