Bump On Front Of Shoulder
Should I be worried? Small (pea sized) softish bump on the round part of my right shoulder in the front. No pain. What could this be?
Many possibilities: If it showed up abruptly and has not changes at all, it is most likely a dermatofibroma, which is a benign, stable, scar- like condition. Cysts and malignant tumors can also present this way so it really is best to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. If he or she is not certain, a biopsy will be performed where a small sample is taken and send to the lab under local anesthesia. ...Read more
I think I popped my shoulder whilst biking. I was just a tiny little bump. 3 months on I'm still feeling pain should it really take this long to heal?
3 months seems long: A shoulder injury from biking should be evaluated by a sports medicine doctor or an orthopedic doctor if the injury does not heal up quickly. Perhaps a ligament (holding 2 bones together) was damaged. Sometimes there is impingement, where a ligament or bone is pressing on another ligament or muscle. After initial treatment, physical therapy for a few weeks should help regain normal mobility. ...Read more

Is there any kind of device or support that I can wear to help with vibrations and bumps like in the car for the shoulder to keep it more stable?
Probably not...: It all depends on what the cause of the shoulder pain and instability is. If you have an unstable shoulder there is something called a sully brace that can be worn, but other than that, any other brace that would hold your arm still you could not wear while you were driving (if you were the driver). There are also some neoprene wraps that can be put on the shoulder to help, but not for stability. ...Read more

I hav this brown looking bump on my shoulder. It didn't hurt when I touch it. It started to get bigger and another 2 formed at my back? What's that?
My girlfriend has a large bump on her upper-shoulder, neck area. It started small but gradually got larger as time progressed. It hurts to the touch.
Bump on the neck: This might be an enlarged lymph node or a cystic structure associated with the skin or tissue just under the skin. If it is tender it may be a normal reactive lymph node or a sebaceous cyst. If it does not resolve she should see a doctor for evaluation. I have a very painful raised bump on my shoulder. It has a brown center and is red on the outside.?
It's unclear: From your description what it might be, but if this is new, have someone look closely with a magnifying glass to make sure you didn't pick up a small tick somewhere. The young ticks can be so small that they are not even recognized as a tick. Regardless, this needs to be looked at by a physician, especially because it is painful. If it is a tick remove it and bring to MD, or let MD remove 4 lab. ...Read more

Hard non-moveable bump on spine b/t shoulder blades. More painful as day goes on- pressing in nerve? Vertebrae is sticking out? Dr can't see for weeks
Need a bit more info: Lump on the spinous process would not involve nerve. Injury could cause a crushed vertebra and a "hump".TB is rare in the US but that could be a problem, Bone tumors are rare there. A sweat gland (seborrheic) cyst is more common and can be fairly fixed. In any case, a few days-even a week or two-delay should not change your prognosis. No doc for weeks sounds like poor care.
